The novel is based on the history of the Knights Templars, the discovery of sacred relics buried under  Jerusalem, taken to Europe and the theft of some of those relics from the basement of the Vatican.  The Anointing is an adventure, mystery based on real history.  It was written under the pen names David and John Fenyes.
