Quiero decir que cuando conocí a Awo Fálòkun Fatunmbi y a Ìyánífá Fáségun Fatunmbi me encontraba en una situación desesperada por la salud de mi hijo, y al llegar a su casa mi pregunta fue directa, ¿quiero saber si pueden curar a mi hijo? a lo cual me respondió yo no puedo contestar eso, preguntemos a Ifá.
En mi recorrido con diversos Babalawos por primera vez escuchaba una respuesta certera sin grandeza alguna en su persona. En la adivinación pregunté si con la ceremonia de Ifá mi hijo Alex saldría adelante de este problema a lo cual me respondió que si, en días siguientes se preparó la ceremonia para Alex  y lo que yo puedo decir es que agradezco a Ifá por haber puesto en mi camino a Awo Fálòkun Fatunmbi y a Ìyánífá Fáségun Fatunmbi por habernos abierto las puertas de su casa ya que gracias a su sabiduría y a su paciencia mi hijo hoy se encuentra sano.
También por este medio agradezco por su sabiduría, que me haya enseñado un Ifá sencillo  sin adornos ni complicaciones, un  Ifá funcional, que transformó mi vida y la de muchos.
Agradezco al hombre sencillo, agradezco al hombre lleno de sabiduría oculta y de sonrisa franca, al hombre que cuando se le busca  siempre está  ahí.

Awo Fáládé Fatunmbi

Esto comienza cuando fui a casa de Baba a que me registrara porque mi papá y mi mamá me dijeron que él me podía ayudar a salir adelante del problema de salud que tuve casi toda mi vida y digo que tuve, porque desde mi ceremonia de Ifá yo me he sentido muy...muy...muy bien y siento que ya no estoy enfermo desde entonces. Retomando la historia cuando Baba me registro, me dijo que si me iba a curar y así fue. A los pocos días me hicieron la ceremonia de Ifá junto con mi papá y mi vida cambio por completo, al salir de la ceremonia yo me sentía normal y mi única tarea era hacer oración a todos mis santos.
El tiempo pasaba y pasaba y yo ya no me enfermaba era todo lo contrario mis problemas de salud iban desapareciendo..."pienso que esto es un milagro" porque la verdad no se que paso pero hasta la fecha no me he vuelto a enfermar de púrpura y todo es gracias a Ifá y a Baba y no es que sea fanático pero para mi esa es la razón mas fuerte que tengo para explicar esto.

Gracias Baba e Iya

Personalmente creo que el éxito y paz, que he tenido la fortuna de experimentar en diferentes aspectos de mi vida han sido producto de esta extensa creencia y filosofía que es Ifá.

Como hijo de Awo Fálòkun Fatunmbi y de Ìyánífá Fáségun Fatunmbi, he podido darme cuanta del gran aprecio y cariño que les tiene la gente, al grado de llamarlos mama o papa. A que me refiero con esto, (no en un sentido de queja) todos en el Ilé somos como una gran familia y eso es lo mas importante y lo que yo creo que tiene el mayor valor.


Sin embargo toda la sabiduría que nos ha compartido Baba, es un punto necesario a tocar, ya que es el que ha cambiado la vida de muchas personas, incluso hablando de situaciones de vida o muerte.

En mi caso, mi iniciación que se dio junto a la de Awo Fáládé Fatunmbi, cambio mi forma de ver las cosas y en cierta cantidad me dio la madures necesario para pasar la adolescencia sin problemas personales en el aspecto sentimental y de desarrollo. Espiritualmente me abrió un panorama totalmente nuevo, que me ha dado la oportunidad de escribir mi primer libro.

El estudio y perseverancia es una parte esencial para que tu creencia tenga una base sólida, y eso se lo debo profundamente a Awo Fálòkun Fatunmbi y a Ìyánífá Fáségun Fatunmbi.

Y espero que ese compromiso que tengo como hijo, de los dos lo pueda ir llenando poco a poco con lo que me han otorgado.

As I approach my first year of being initiated into the mysteries of Orisa and Ifa I can look back and see a shift in my consciousness. Words cannot give a clear enough picture of experiencing initiation, but I can describe how my life has changed since. The connection to my ancestors and to spirit became stronger; in other words, my confidence in decisions increased because I could feel my ancestors guiding me. More than joy, a sense of inner peace is what I feel since being initiated, knowing that whatever problems I face, I have the tools to solve them along with support from the Ile. In the midst of conflict it is easier to keep a cool head. When expressing myself, my speech is more precise. When I face obstacles I don’t get angry, I smile and give thanks for the patience I have to overcome them. As divined, my first year had conflict, but in that conflict I was able to resolve past problems. In solving those past problems I was able to transform into a better person. I am eternally grateful to Baba, Iya, and all my brothers and sisters from the Ile for their continued support.

Ifa representa la herramienta para la transformación interior, mas allá de convertirse en un tipo de creencia o pensamiento filosófico, he podido hacer uso de Ifa como un recurso valioso para el desarrollo personal, gracias al estudio de 16 principios que pueden ser aplicados a todo tipo de circunstancias y condiciones, de forma  valiosa para el crecimiento.

Before becoming a member of Ile Osomina I didnt know what it meant to take responsibility over my life. I always had someone to blame for my own choices. That was the strongest lesson I had to learn during my Ifa studies with my family in Ile Osomina.

In my biological family they made me understand that I was not sufficiently good and they never taught me that I had something to offer the world. This I had to learn from my elders in Ile Osomina.

I spent the major part of my life looking for validation and acknowledgement, without developing or using the talents that I have. My elders in Ile Osomina taught me to have more confidence in life and in myself. Today I am thirty-five years old and I am starting to do things that come naturally, things in which I have talent such as dancing Mambo, putting all my effort into it.

Ile Osomina taught me that I am sitting on a goldmine of ideas and abilities. If I would stop blaming others and being ashamed of me, there would be no way that I would expect less of myself or anyone else.

Today I am willing to give the world who I am naturally.

Bàbál’òrìsà Omíkéye Fatunmbi

El haberme iniciado en el tradicionalismo Yorùbá, pude complementar en varias facetas y seguir el camino al desarrollo espiritual que en mi ha ido buscando desde tiempo atrás.


Lo más trascendente para mi, ha sido descubrir, sentir y comprender la esencia de los Òrìsàs, quienes rigen en mi. Ahora entiendo que mediante el estudio de Ifá podré seguir creciendo espiritualmente con humildad y sabiduría.

Cuando tuve la oportunidad de conocer a Awo Fálòkun Fatunmbi en una conferencia de Ifà/Òrìsà, yo entendí desde ese momento que era él la persona que me daría un cambio radical a mi vida. En esa ocasión después de una adivinación que Baba Fálòkun Fatunmbi me hizo, me pide que me acerque a él y me da un abrazo, y me hace el comentario de que ya no tome mas rencor y venganza; la paz que me transmitió en esos momentos, es la misma paz que disfruto actualmente al haberme Iniciado en Ifà/Òrìsà.
Hoy esa paz interior, mi actitud y paciencia me llevan a seguir aprendiendo cada una de las enseñanzas que Baba Fálòkun Fatunmbi e Ìyánífá Fáségun Fatunmbi nos transmiten día con día sobre la Religión Tradicional Yoruba, y que me han servido para desarrollar paso a paso mi espiritualidad y tratar de entender quien soy, a donde me dirijo; y que no es otra cosa que el encontrar mi destino.
Esto me ha ayudado a tomar la responsabilidad, paciencia y actitud, para guiar a mis omos dentro de Ifà/Òrìsà.
Doy gracias a Baba Fálòkun Fatunmbi e Ìyá Fáségun Fatunmbi por haberme brindado su confianza, amistad y cariño, por ser mis padres, mis maestros, mis guías, mis amigos, y el permitirme ser parte de la gran familia Ile Osomi’na.

Una vez que fui iniciado y me encontré dentro del  Tradicionalismo,  con la guía espiritual  de mis mayores, los cuales me han enseñado la verdadera importancia de la vida a través de Ifa, el buen carácter, la humildad, conducirse con verdad y honestidad; mi vida y la de mi familia han cambiado,  logrando tener paz espiritual, obteniendo respeto y reconocimiento. Ayudándome en mí desarrollo personal, laboral etc. Encontrando en mis Ancestros y Orisas, respaldo en las situaciones adversas y en los triunfos.

En resumidas cuentas, a ser otra persona muy distinta a la que era, logrando y esforzándome por ser cada día mejor persona.

Agradezco infinitamente la ayuda de todos mis mayores, en especial a Baba Fálòkun Fatunmbi, Ìyánífá Fáségun Fatunmbi, Ìyánífá Faárínólá Fatunmbi y Awo Opéolú Fatunmbi.

AL PEDIR QUE DE MI TESTIMONIO DE LO QUE HA SIDO MI VIDA A PARTIR DE MI INICIACION EN IFA ORISA, CREO CONVENIENTE NO DEJAR DE MENCIONAR LO QUE ERA MI VIDA ANTES DE ESTA INICIACION.
EL DESARROLLO DE MIS ACTIVIDADES ESTABA SALPICADO DE DUDAS, REFLEXIONES, TEMORES, INCERTIDUMBRE, CONSTANTES CAMBIOS DE ACTITUD, DE CARÁCTER, Y UNA INTERMINABLE LISTA DE ETCÉTERAS.
PARA LLLEGAR A IFA TUVE QUE PASAR POR UNA SERIE DE ACONTECIMIENTOS QUE LA VIDA MISMA ME FUE PRESENTANDO Y UNO DE LOS PRINCIPALES FUE HABER TENIDO UN ENCUENTRO CON LA IYA DE ESTE ILE, PERO NO FUE UN ENCUENTRO CUALQUIERA, MAS BIEN FUE UNA PRESENTACION QUE “ALGUIEN” ME HIZO PARA QUE YO SOLO SIGUIERA LAS INSTRUCCIONES Y EL CAMINO SE ME FACILITARA RECORRERLO.
NO HUBO ENGAÑOS, NO HUBO FANTASIAS, NO UBO FALSAS PROMESAS, NO HUBO DESASTRES ECONOMICOS, NO HUBO CHANTAJES, TODO HA SIDO DE ACUERDO CON ESAS INSTRUCCIONES DICTADAS POR ESE “ALGUIEN”, QUE ME HA COLOCADO EN EL CAMINO CORRECTO DE IFA-ORISA.

Hace varios años, me interese por conocer las raíces de la Cultura Africana, teniendo la fortuna de poder leer varios libros de Baba, como escritor me encanta todo lo que hace. Con el tiempo tuve la Fortuna de Realizar todas mis iniciaciones dentro de Ile Osomina. La Experiencia es inolvidable, el renacer es Real, el poder disfrutar de las enseñanzas de Baba y de Iya es simplemente Espectacular. En lo particular he considerado al ser humano en tres partes: Cuerpo, Mente y Espíritu, si bien es Cierto que a través de las iniciaciones hacemos cosas para el Cuerpo y para el Espíritu, es también fundamental realizar un trabajo personal en nuestra mente, para que ese renacer sea completo! Es algo que siento que he logrado con el tiempo. Es de esta manera que nace Ile Agbonniregun en Colombia.

Solo me resta recomendar ampliamente a Baba Falokun y a su Respetada Esposa Iya Fasegun, resumiendo todo en una pequeña frase:

“Los derechos que pagamos son pocos, para lo mucho que recibimos!”

"He comprendido en el tiempo, que quienes leen un minuto o una hora de Ifa, podrán quizás disfrutar de un minuto o una hora de sabiduría. Pero quienes hacen de Ifa una Filosofía de vida, podrán seguramente disfrutar cada momento!"

Finalmente es un gran honor para mi pertenecer a la Familia Fatunmbi, a quienes honro tributo cada día con mis actos personales y como Ile a Nuestra Comunidad.

Antes que nada quisiera agradecer infinitamente a Baba Fálòkun Fatunmbi, Ìyánífá Fáségun Fatunmbi, Ìyánífá Faárínólá Fatunmbi y Awo Opéolú Fatunmbi; por su paciencia, sus conocimientos, su sabiduría, sus consejos y sobretodo el apoyo que me han brindado.
Sin ustedes no hubiese sido posible iniciarme y conocer el Tradicionalismo.
El panorama a cambiado radicalmente, la guía del tradicionalismo me ha ayudado a comprender y llevar de la mejor manera los sucesos que se me presentan día a día; ahora ya no espero que cambie mi alrededor sino yo misma.
Además de haber tenido la grata experiencia  de saberme protegida por mis orisas y mis ancestros en los momentos más difíciles, así como en los más gratos de mi vida.

Iyanifa Fákóládé Fatunmbi.

“Iba Akoda, Iba Aseda, Akoda ti n ko gbogbo aye nifa, Aseda ti n ko gbogbo agbalagba imoran”

My experience with the two week intensive Ifa workshop under the guidance of Awo Falokun was invaluable. I was initiated into Ifa in 1990 by the late Araba of Ile-Ife, Fasuyi Omoporiola. Since that time I have read this book and that book on Ifa. I have researched Ifa on the Internet. I have spoken with several Awos from Nigeria and from the Santeros and now in November 2008 my quest for re-initiation has taken me to the doorstep of Ile Osomi’na.

Learning Ifa from different sources e.g. – Internet, Books, YouTube, or one on one from an Awo, apparently is the scene of the Diaspora. From my observation, it seems in vogue to do Ifa in a piece-meal fashion in the West. Getting information from different places or sources is not wrong in itself it is the lack of a foundation or reference that undermines this ad hoc approach to Ifa as is evident in the Diaspora.

Baba Falokun two week Ifa intensive workshop encapsulates the essential ingredients for a traditional approach to Ifa. This “essential ingredient” is the idea of “lineage.” I have been given the roadmap, the Ifa playbook if you will, that lays the foundation and ground rules of the liturgical and metaphysical principles according to a particular family line that dates back many generations, perhaps many millennium. This, I feel, grounds the omo awo into ile, the earth, a reference point that enables him/her to make or bring order to the chaotic cacophony of information on Ifa floating around in the Diaspora. What was ad hoc and piece meal is now funneled and assimilated properly by the one with a lineage. This is the benefit of awo Falokun’s training. It is what is needed in the Diaspora.

It was my pleasure and privilege to study and stay with Awo Falokun and his family. Awo Falokun truly has a good heart and noble intentions. If you empty your cup and come with a humble heart that is transparent as crystal Ifa will bless you, Akoda and Aseda will guide you. I just hope my cup was totally empty and that I was humble enough to receive the full benefit of what Baba Falokun offered.

Receiving Ebora as part of Ile Osomina has been an important and inspiring stop on my journey toward greater spiritual awareness and fulfillment.   My experiences to date with Baba, Iya and other family members have been positive, encouraging and intriguing.  The overall message of openness, oneness, and  wisdom gained through patience and effort, as taught by Ile Osomina is valuable in all aspects of my life.  It has given me unique insight into myself and the world around me and I look forward to continued learning in Ifa.
