ÒGÚN

Ogun is the Guardian Spirit of blacksmiths, the warrior who

clears obstacles that stand in the way of spiritual growth.  Ogun is also the guardian of truth.  In Merindinlogun Ogun speaks in Ogunda (3 cowries).  Ogun´s color is red.  For offerings Ogun eats gin, rum, nuts, palm oil, snail, cola nuts, orogbo, corn, rosted yam, and cooked beans.

The Mystery of the Spirit of Iron, The Spirit of Iron has many homes in the Realm of the Ancestors.  The water of the Realm of the Ancestors surrounds us, it is our abundance.

Imo kimo'bora, ègbé lehin a nle a benbe olobe.  Ase.

Spirit of Iron, the powerful one of the earth, great one of the other world.

Ògún àwóò alúkúmákin Ajàgbodorigi.

        Spirit of Iron is powerful.

Ògún laka gbáà, ató - polowó - ikú.

Spirit of Iron the extremely powerful one, one great enough to advertise death.

Kókò odò tíí rú minmini.

The riverine cocoyam that remians ever fresh and green.
