Akoko ti Okunrun (male puberty rite) This ritual guides young men from during the transition from childhood to becoming an adult. There is a ritual test of courage followed by instruction by male elders on the definition of good character for adult males. This is an important transition that allows men to take responsibility for the transition that comes as young men leave home to find their individual identity.
